Construction moving ahead on Old Barry’s Bay Road

If you’re going down Old Barry’s Bay Road in the near future, expect some slowdowns.

That’s because crews are working on the first five kilometres of the road starting in Combermere this week. Operations Manager Hilary Kutchkoskie says that a-gravel will be added to the base before the road is paved.

Kutchkoskie says that culvert repairs along the road will also continue, so slowdowns are expected for the foreseeable future. By the end of summer, it’s expected that the entirety of Old Barry’s Bay Road will be freshly paved.
