Network 24 is operating under a new name.
The new Ontario Health Team (OHT) will be called the Ottawa Valley Ontario Health Team after an online poll was conducted by member associations. 96 per cent of the OHT’s members agreed to using the name. The name change will now allow the health team to set up a website and create a logo.
The new OHT is a group of healthcare providers in Renfrew County and South Algonquin Township, that is composed of over 70 community groups to better coordinate care and aims to deliver high-quality services that are more accessible to 80,000 residents across the region.
The group encompasses health-care providers from long-term care homes, hospitals, paramedic services, primary care providers, palliative care and mental health and addictions care, among many others.
