There will be lots of music but not necessarily rock-and-roll at the Rockathon this Friday.
Participants who have collected pledges will be rocking away in rocking chairs to raise money for local healthcare needs, such as lifts and mattresses for the Valley Manor.
Opening ceremonies are at 10 a.m. with bagpiper Annadean Kerr.
Just afterwards ‘rockers’ will take part in some rocking chair Zumba.
The Rockathon will wrap up at 4 p.m.
