No threat to the public in eastern Ontario after mass bomb threats

Police say they have confirmed there is no actual threat to public safety at two hospitals in eastern Ontario in connection to mass bomb threats.

Ontario Provincial Police say in a post on X Wednesday night that they are aware of a threatening mass e-mail targeting Jewish institutions and other facilities across Canada.

The two hospitals were investigated with no actual threat found.

The investigation into the threats is being led by the RCMP and is being supported by the OPP and other law enforcement agencies.

OPP add that they continue to monitor the situation.
