Tudor and Cashel Township – Central Hastings OPP are investigating a head-on collision which left a 74-year-old man deceased.
Police say the accident happened at about 1 p.m. Sunday on Highway 62 north of Madoc.
Two pickup trucks collided head-on.
The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 68-year-old female passenger in that vehicle was taken to hospital by Hastings-Quinte paramedics with serious injuries. Both are from Stirling-Rawdon.
The other driver, age 64, has non-life-threatening injuries, while a 58-year-old woman in that vehicle suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital.
They are from Muskoka Lakes township.
Officers with the Central Hastings detachment continue to investigate, with assistance from OPP collision reconstruction and technical collision investigators.
Highway 62 was closed for several hours for the on-scene portion of the investigation.
