Heat Warning not Expected to end until Friday

With a heat warning in effect in Madawaska Valley, Hastings County’s health unit wants us to keep cool.

Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health says it’s important we keep cool, drink plenty of water and avoid strenuous outdoor activities.

The health unit is also asking us to check up on those who are at risk, like infants, elderly people, and people with chronic diseases.

Anyone experiencing symptoms of heat illness should seek medical attention.

The heat warning is expected to last until Friday.
