The fire bans in Algonquin Park, Hastings Highlands and Madawaska Valley are now over.
The ban was lifted late yesterday morning allowing campers to once again to enjoy campfires in the organized and back country sites within Algonquin.
The park received over 34 millimetres of rain over the weekend.
MNRF Fire Information Officer Shane McCool says the rain gave crews a solid head-start on containing the now 48-hectare fire burning in the east end of the park near the High Falls area.
However, people planning on a trip to the park are cautioned to be careful with campfires, never leave them unattended and only have fires in designated areas.
