The forest fire burning in the eastern end of Algonquin Park is now successfully being held back.
MNRF Fire Information Officer Shane McCool says the blaze forced the evacuation of twelve campsites near the High Falls area and no one has been hurt.
The fire was originally reported on August 9th and the MNRF says it was caused by humans.
The fire ban in Algonquin Park was lifted on Sunday.
Six crews and one helicopter continue to work in the area, the heavy rainfall in the forecast is expected to help those crews even more.
