Madawaska Valley District School (MVDS) are launching a free thrift shop for students.

School officials said the initiative starts this spring and will provide students with access to essential clothing and hygiene items ‘while giving new life to clothing that may be sitting in closets and drawers.’

The school is looking for help from the community and is now collecting donations to help stock the shop.

“If your household has any gently used, smoke-free clothing or sealed, unused hygiene products (toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, etc.) we would love your support,” the school shared in a social media post.

Items can be dropped off during parent teacher interviews tomorrow (March 27).

The school noted they are unable to accept monetary donations.

If you have any questions, contact Sterling Sonego, Special Education Resource Teacher, at [email protected].

Sonego is also available during secondary parent/teacher interviews.
