Madawaska Valley council appoints Ernie Peplinski to fill vacant council seat

Ernie Peplinski has been appointed to Madawaska Valley council, filling the seat left vacant by Counc. Joseph Olsheski last month. 

During yesterday’s council meeting, the appointment process to replace the council vacancy was completed.   

Following the meeting, CAO/Clerk Suzanne Klatt confirmed that Mr. Peplinski has been vetted.

“All previous financial statements have been filed following the 2022 municipal election, and he qualifies under the Municipal Elections Act to be appointed for the vacant Council seat.”

A special council meeting will be scheduled to complete the declaration of office.

Peplinski previously held a seat on Council from 2014 until 2022.
