East Region OPP is letting Ottawa Valley residents know about a military training exercise near the Ottawa and Morrisburg airports this weekend.
Royal Canadian Air Force CH-147F Chinooks from 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron, Petawawa, will operate with the Canadian Army’s 33 Canadian Brigade Group to carry out troop movements and conduct helicopter underslung operation training in support of Exercise Trillium Venture.
This military air traffic can be expected Friday evening into early Saturday, between the Ottawa and Morrisburg airports and the Long Sault Parkway areas.
“We appreciate the hospitality of our friends and neighbours in the communities we serve … while we conduct this simulated emergency response exercise with local government partners and first responders,” said the OPP in a release.
