Yakabuski Keeps Pressure on for Highway 17 Inclusion in Five-Year Plan

Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski says if Highway 17 was made part of the province’s five-year infrastructure plan it could provide a boost to both the rural and larger communities in the region.

It comes as municipalities have been making recent shifts into tourism, tapping into the outdoors and cottage markets in a more focused way.

Yakabuski says Ottawa Valley could benefit greatly from the highway’s expansion.

The province is set to deliver its new budget on April 27^th.
