The Township of Madawaska Valley is helping to prepare residents for finding family doctors.
It comes as Doctor Denise Coulas is set to retire at the end of June with no other physician set to take over her practice.
Madawaska Valley’s Mayor Kim Love says all of Coulas’ patients will be de-rostered and is stressing the importance of residents registering with Health Care Connect.
Love says once you have been confirmed as de-rostered through an official letter in the mail, it’s crucial you sign up with Health Care Connect as quickly as possible in order to find a new family doctor.

Doctor Steven Chen is set to begin his tenure in the Madawaska Valley and will be building his practice off of Health Care Connect.
