Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski is headed to Queen’s Park to ask for a more active role from province for flood relief in his riding.
Yakabuski says the help residents need has to come sooner than later.
He’s calling for local leaders, property owner’s organizations or any other groups affected by the flooding to submit official letters to his office.
Yakabuski says residents can apply for disaster relief through the Ministry of Municipal Affairs but the province has the ability to take further action.
He says every little bit will help as he heads to the house on Monday to address Minister of Municipal Affairs Bill Mauro directly.
