Water Levels Projected to Rise Over the Next Day

The Township of Madawaska Valley says OPG will be slowly increasing the flow from its Bark Lake Dam site accordingly.

Ontario Power Generation says there is no threat to the dam and it’s performing as intended.

The township says the water levels on Kamaniskeg Lake and the Madawaska River system will continue to rise similarly to yesterday.

The MNRF, municipality and local power generation will be monitoring levels closely.

Townships throughout the region have made sand and sandbags available upon request.
