Algonquin Park Slowly Reopening Areas Following Recent Flooding

If you’re planning on heading to Algonquin Park this weekend, campgrounds and other areas are slowly re-opening following recent flooding.

Current closures include areas such as Coon Lake Campground, the Highland trails and Minnesing Mountain Bike trails along the Highway 60 corridor.

Other high traffic areas along the highway such as Western Upland and Whiskey Rapids trails are also closed for the time being.

Ontario Parks says if you’re heading in for spring fishing to remember no live baitfish are allowed and fishing within 100 metres of any dam in the park is also prohibited.
