Funding Announcements Coming for Recreation Department

Tomorrow’s Recreation Heritage and Culture Committee meeting in the Madawaska Valley will be announcing the approval of two new grants.

Funding is on its way for the Ontario Senior Community and the Ontario Sports and Recreation Grant.

It’s a slim agenda for this week’s meeting at the department is in full swing with Canada 150 events as the summer was rung in over the Victoria Day long weekend.

Reports are due regarding event road closures, analytics from the Opeongo Heritage Cup and updates from the fitness centre and railway station are due.

Committee convenes at 9:00am tomorrow in council chambers in Barry’s Bay.
