Flood Warning Extended as Levels on Golden Lake and Bonnechere River Slow to Return

The Pembroke District and Renfrew County remain under a flood warning.

The MNRF says although water levels are down, areas on the Bonnechere River and Golden Lake still have high water levels.

The ministry says water levels are almost back to normal in other areas.

Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski says it’s important to apply to the province’s Disaster Recovery Assistance Program to receive funding for flood damage.

The MNRF is advising you to stay away from any river banks as strong currents pose a safety risk in many areas.
