Bernadette McCann House Launches Campaign to Combat Abuse and Raise Awareness

Bernadette McCann House’s Stand up Against Violence campaign is raising awareness on issues related to abuse and how to get help.

Public Education Coordinating Erin Norris says the organization has resources in place both internally and outside of its doors.

It provides crisis relief, shelter and other critical services for women and children who are victims of abuse.

The organization operates throughout Renfrew County and operates a 24-seven help line at  1 (800) 267-4930 or (613) 732-3131.

The campaign received support from local healthcare, emergency services, police and municipalities throughout the region.

Norris says anyone can access the services and resources available confidentially and for free.
