Volunteers from the Canadian Red Cross will be in Killaloe, Hagarty, and Richards on Saturday to inform residents about flood support programs.
The township is hosting an open house, where the volunteers will be able to validate existing claims for the Red Cross Flood Assistance Program, along with providing information about flood cleanup and recovery. Residents can also find out more on how to apply for the province’s Disaster Recovery Assistance Program.
This comes after communities across Renfrew County were faced with record levels of rain and flooding throughout the spring months.
The open house will be held on Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Municipal Council Chambers on John Street in Killaloe.
