Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm watch in Madawaska Valley area

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Barry’s Bay, Killaloe, Petawawa, Pembroke, Cobden, Renfrew, Arnprior, and Calabogie.

Environment Canada says thunderstorms may be on the way, which could produce heavy rain, strong wings, and large hail.

Large hail is able to damage property and hurt people, while strong winds can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees, and overturn large vehicles.

You are being advised to take cover if threatening weather approaches.
