OPP’s “Walking Forward” Camp For Indigenous Youth Wraps Up

A camp for indigenous youth put together by the OPP has wrapped up in Golden Lake.

The 10^th annual “Walking Forward” camp was held at Camp Lutherlyn in Golden Lake last week, and had a fantastic turnout.

38 indigenous youth attended the camp, which was put together by the OPP.

Camp instructors included police officers, and qualified youth camp councillors.

Camp organizer and OPP Constable Jerry Novack says the East Region Provincial Liaison Team puts this camp together every year.

Novack also says the camp helps kids make a positive impact in their communities.

The camp is in its 2^nd year at Camp Lutherlyn, and plans to remain there in coming years.
