Madawaska Valley and Hastings Highlands Working On Automatic Aid Fire Program

Hastings Highlands and Madawaska Valley are working on a system to help bring quicker response times to fires.

The area they are focusing on is just west of Combermere, which is technically Hastings Highlands County land. However, the Madawaska Valley South Fire Hall is closer to these areas.

Madawaska Valley Fire Department would be first responders to the calls in this area while Hastings Highlands fire crews are en route to the scene of the fire.

Affected roads would be Barrymere, Coulas, Mullen, Ohio, Parchers, Perrier, Schweig, Wigry, and Highway 517.
