The Madawaska Valley Township has surpassed its donation budget for 2017.
The year’s budget was originally $15,000, but estimates from Mayor Kim love state that the township has already donated nearly $21,000 in 2017.
As a result, the township will no longer be offering cash donations. However, in-kind donations will still be given by the township.

The township will look into strategies to ensure this doesn’t happen again in 2018, and is considering an earlier deadline for donation requests.
