The Madawaska Valley Operations Committee is moving forward with plans to install a new three-way stop intersection.
The intersection in question is at Sunny Hill Road and Curtiss Road in Barry’s Bay.
Members of the Operations Committee believe this intersection can be dangerous, especially in the winter, because of poor visibility and that a three-way stop would improve safety.

Committee has said that new stop sign intersections around the township have helped improved safety on the roads.
The next step is to get an Operations Committee recommendation passed this coming Monday at Council.
