OPP Kick Off Crime Prevention Week

Crime Prevention Week in Ontario kicked off yesterday and runs until this Friday province wide.

Killaloe OPP Constable Catherine Yarmel says the purpose of Crime Prevention Week is to make sure residents feel safe no matter where they are.

Yarmel also says that the purpose of Crime Prevention Week is to make everyone aware of how they can prevent crimes themselves.

Many OPP detachments across the province offer different programs that are tailor made for their communities.
