Eganville splash pad to be built this month

After months of fundraising, Eganville will be getting its splash pad.

That’s according to Bonnechere Valley Mayor Jennifer Murphy, who says construction of the splash pad will start the week of July 16^th. Fundraising efforts have been happening within the township for months, including a raffle that saw a brand new truck given away. In total, Murphy says the fundraising committee raised over $100,000.

Murphy says the reception from the community has been fantastic surrounding the splash pad. She says with more donations, the township would like to build a shade structure there as well as a new playground.

Murphy says construction is expected to wrap up the same week it starts.
