The Renfrew County and District Health Unit wants you to make sure you’re protecting yourself from West Nile Virus.
That’s according to Renfrew County and District Health Unit Manager of Healthy Environments David Tantalo, who says mosquito testing for West Nile is being done throughout the summer.
Tantalo says that last year, pools of mosquitos tested positive for the disease in Laurentian Valley and Pembroke. He says there’s way to try and keep mosquitos away from your property.
While you’re out, Tantalo says it’s important to make sure to protect yourself from mosquito bites as well.
