For a 16th year, local residents will be raising money through beach volleyball for Huntington’s disease research.
Throughout the years, the tournament has raised anywhere from $2000 to $5000 for research. Organizer Melissa Craftchick says this year could be even more.
Craftchick says Huntington’s is very close to her personally, but the community has rallied over the years to help this event grow year after year.

This year, Craftchick says a 4th court will be added for the first time ever as 44 teams will take part. She says anyone not competing is more than welcome to come watch at the Barry’s Bay Beach Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and enjoy a snack, with all proceeds from food also going towards Huntington’s research.
