Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Madawaska Valley and Renfrew County.
According to the weather agency, conditions could see up to 50mm of rain in an hour of less as well as heavy winds.
Environment Canada suggests that you tie down any loose objects on your property to avoid them being blown away. You’re also urged to stay inside if you see lightning and take cover if you see threatening weather approaching.
