If you see more butterflies than usual this weekend, don’t be surprised.
That’s because the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation Memorial Butterfly Release is scheduled for Sunday at Water Tower Park in Barry’s Bay.
In recent years, as many as 275 butterflies have been released to honor the passing of loved ones by residents throughout Madawaska Valley. While the deadline to reserve a butterfly was earlier this month, you’re still invited to attend to see as hundreds of butterflies will be released on Sunday at 1:00pm.
All money raised will be going back into the Healthcare Foundation, which will use the funds for new equipment at the hospital.
