More municipalities put load restrictions on roads

Warm weather has pushed more municipalities to keep heavy vehicles off their roads.

The Townships of North Algona Wilberforce and Bonnechere Valley are the latest to put a maximum capacity limit on the roads they manage. Effective immediately, loads may not exceed five tonnes per axle wherever a sign is erected. Both townships will have these restrictions in place until at least May 31st.

The two municipalities join Madawaska Valley and South Algonquin in restricting the amount of tonnage on roads during the spring months.
