It was a successful day to rock for local healthcare.
Several teams rocked on rocking chairs to raise money for the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation last week. Ten teams took to their chairs over the course of several hours. The Foundation says as a result, they were able to raise $26,000.
The funds will go to purchasing ease of access equipment for the residents of the Valley Manor. The Manor hopes to purchase spreader bars, which help residents get in and out of bed safely.
The Foundation would like to thank the teams, sponsors throughout Barry’s Bay, and the Barry’s Bay Legion who accommodated the event because of weather concerns.
