Arnprior Declares Water Advisory

Arnprior is currently under a drinking water advisory.

Residents are being asked not to use the water for anything else but flushing the toilets.

The advisory was issued yesterday, one of the hottest days of the summer and the municipality says it’s likely the advisory won’t be lifted until Friday evening.

A safe water station has been set up at the Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior located on James Street.

The municipality says four litres will be allotted per person, per day.

The public is being warned that chlorinating and boiling will not make the water safe.
