Madawaska Valley’s Operations Department wants you to know it will be getting to its regular brushing, road clearing and pothole obligations once flood damage has been assessed and repaired in the township.
Operations Supervisor Mike Phillips delivered his report to committee yesterday, showing Public Works had recorded 15 washouts in a span of less than 20 days.
That doesn’t include this, or last week’s numbers.
It’s estimated another half-dozen roads have either been impacted by the flooding or washed out since then.
Mayor Kim Love says crews have been working around the clock to unclog culverts, repair washouts, deliver sandbags and provide relief to residents affected by recent flooding.
