Library Trivia Night Rings in Over $1,700

Around a dozen teams helped to raise over $1,700 for the Madawaska Valley Public Library as part of its annual trivia night fundraiser.

Chair of the library Iwona Mooney says the support the library gets from the community goes a long way every year.

She says none of it would be possible without library staff, volunteers, the township and local businesses getting involved year after year.

Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski took the reins as the master of ceremonies for the event.

Mooney says the proceeds go into programming and services for the library which also serves residents in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.
