Junior hockey is coming to the Madawaska Valley.
The CPJHL will be welcoming the Madawaska Valley Falcons Hockey Club to Barry’s Bay starting in September.
Team President Gary Medwid says players between the ages of 16 to 20 will be eligible to play in the league.
Medwid says the 12-team league is scouted mostly by the NCAA and CIS and is therefore focused on player development.

The team will field U-S and international players and will be actively looking for local talent from the region to join.
Madawaska Valley’s Mayor Kim Love says the township is excited for the prospect of expanding hockey in the area.
