Madawaska Valley’s Fire Department wants you to keep safety in mind as you head to the campsite, to the cottage or your own backyard.
Fire Chief Corwin Quade says to always check the area’s fire danger meter which is currently set to night time burning only.
Quade says most fires are man-made and can be prevented easily.
Burn status signs are posted on main roads entering the township, on the side of the municipal offices and on the front page of the website.
