The OPP is hoping a facial reconstruction will help identify remains found in Algonquin Park in 1980.

Police have released a new 3-dimensional model of a man’s face, hoping that it will lead to new information.

His remains were found by a hiker using Hardwood Lookout Trail near Whitney. A size 11 boot, a wallet without any ID, clothes, a sleeping bag, a camp stove, and a cooking pot were all found nearby.

Police say more remains were found in 1995. The man is thought to have been 18 to 29 years old and have blonde hair between 6 and 11 inches long.
